See that squiggly arrow up the top ? Well, thats roughly where you need to get to reach the Water Rats. The congestion charge only applies if you go into the areas marked in pink. You can travel on all the roads that ring the zone (the thick line going all the way around) without charge, as long as you don't go into the zone itself. So plan your route from there. We borrowed this map from the BBC, they have quite a comprehensive guide to the whole thing.

And now some good news and bad news...

THE BETSEY TROTWOOD IS IN THE CONGESTION ZONE BUT WE WILL HELP YOU PAY FOR IT

Yes, thats right. As a general rule at the Betsey, only one band brings back line, and this will usually be the headline band. Headline bands need to get to the Betsey Trotwood by 5pm, which means they will invariably have to pay the charge. The good news is that, as long as they are on time, and break even on the night, WE WILL PAY FOR THE CHARGE. Yes, we will give you a nice crisp fiver (or possibly a slightly crumpled one) to cover the additional cost. You can't say fairer than that, can you?
